We store some products in the refrigerator, not even suspecting that this is not necessary.
Of course, products such as fish or meat are hard to imagine without a refrigerator. However, there are a number of products that, on the contrary, should not be stored in the refrigerator.
1. Melons
Foods such as melons, watermelons, and zucchini are best stored outside the refrigerator, for example, on the table.
Studies have shown that storing these foods at room temperature has a better effect on their antioxidant content. However, this applies to whole (uncut) melons and watermelons.
If you have already cut watermelon or melon, store it in the refrigerator for three to four days.
This list also includes pumpkins. It is best to keep it in a cool place.
